This Privacy Policy describes how MoodTracker ("we," "us,""or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information from and about you when you use our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in a transparent and secure manner, especially given the sensitive nature of the information we collect.
By using the MoodTracker app (hereafter; App or app), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
The Mood Tracker app is designed to be a private and secure tool for your personal use. We do not collect, store, or have access to any of the information you enter into the app. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Your mood entries.
- Grounding rules.
- Feedback provided by the user.
- Any other notes or data you input.
All of this information is stored exclusively on your device.
a. Information You Provide Directly - if it is available on the App.
- Account Information: When you create a Neurowellness account, we collect your email address. This is used for login, password recovery, and communication.
- Payment Information: When you subscribe to our Service, payment details are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not directly collect or store your full payment card information. Stripe provides us with limited transaction information, such as the type of card used and the last four digits, to confirm your payment. Stripe has its own privacy policy that governs the collection and use of your payment data. We encourage you to review it.
Remarks: Account Information and limited Payment Information are stored on our servers or with secure third-party processors and are transmitted via the internet to our servers or third party cloud services. In the absence of these features, the app does not collect this information listed in (a).
- Health and Wellness Information: The core of our Service is the collection of mood data. This is considered sensitive health-related data. When you use the MoodTracker app, we store and process the following data - on your device:
- Your Mood entries.
- Graphs derived from your mood entries.
- Session logs, and associated information that you may enter on your app.
Remarks: Health and Wellness Information is stored exclusively on the device. This data is NOT transmitted via the internet to, or stored on, our servers or any third-party cloud services. All health and wellness data is governed by the terms&conditions that you agreed on when using this service. While the data is processed using current local-only architecture; any future cloud-based data handling will be subject to updated user consent and revised privacy documentation.
b. Information Collected Automatically:
Log Data: In the event when you log on your device using account credentials, we and our third party services may have access to information such as your device's Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app, and the time and date of your use of the Service. This information may be used to calculate app usage, functionality, ad generation and revenue, and any errors that may be occurring at the user or backend of the services.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate the core functions of the app, including processing your mood-recording sessions and providing feedback and grounding exercises.
- To Process Subscriptions: To manage your subscription, when available, and process payments through Stripe or other third party payment services.
- To Communicate with You: To send you service-related communications, such as account updates, password reset links, and information about your subscription, when available.
- To Improve Our Service: To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, and develop new features to enhance the user experience.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We will not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes. We may, however, share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Your Consent: We may share your data if you give us explicit permission to do so.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We use trusted third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, such as for payment processing (Stripe), and analytics (Google and Apple). These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect rights or property, or ensure the safety of our users or the public.
- The "grounding rules" and "feedback" features within the app are designed to provide you with a tool for self-reflection and personal support. All content you add to these sections is also stored locally on your device and is not accessible to us or any other third party.
- Business Transfers: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Your Control Over Your Data
- Access and Correction: You may request to access and correct any inaccuracies in your personal information, if such functionality is available on the app.
- Data Deletion: As all sensitive health data is stored exclusively on your device, we do not have a copy of this data to delete. You can delete your data at any time by simply uninstalling the Mood Tracker app from your device. When you uninstall the app, all of the data stored locally will be permanently erased.
- Opt-Out: You may opt out of receiving certain non-essential communications from us, and all reasonable requests to exercise the rights outlined in this section shall be processed in accordance with applicable law.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide the Service, fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, and comply with our legal obligations. Once your data is no longer necessary, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
You can delete your data at any time by simply uninstalling the Mood Tracker app from your device. When you uninstall the app, all of the data stored locally will be permanently erased.
6. Security
We are committed to protecting your data. We use commercially acceptable measures to protect your information, but it is important to remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. The Company does not warrant or guarantee the absolute security of any data transmitted to or from the App or stored within its systems, and you assume all risk for any unauthorized access, loss, corruption, or disclosure of your data.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information from our servers.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
